Joy Jarrett
Chief Marketing Officer, Guidehouse
At Guidehouse, Joy Jarrett leads and oversees all marketing efforts, including enterprise branding, creative, campaigns, web, events, social media, public relations and corporate communications. Her impact on the firm’s growth is reflected in metrics like increased proposal volumes, higher win rates and enhanced brand distinction as a unique consultancy. Jarrett positioned marketing as a strategic partner, driving creative and effective strategies that have contributed to the firm’s success.
In less than six years, Guidehouse grew fivefold, expanding from a public sector-focused firm with 1,500 employees to a privately owned, 100% cloud-based global company with over 17,000 employees and 55-plus offices worldwide. Jarrett worked closely with CEO Scott McIntyre and the leadership team to drive this growth and market impact.
One of Jarrett’s recent achievements is launching Guidehouse’s partnership with D.C. United, a first-of-its-kind deal in Major League Soccer between a club and a global consultancy. In July, Guidehouse hosted a Military Appreciation Night with D.C. United to honor local USO military families. At halftime, Guidehouse presented a donation to the USO to support its mission of aiding service members and their families.
“We were impressed with the natural alignment between D.C. United and our organization on values and leadership character, on the importance of teamwork and collaboration to solve tough problems, on our joint pursuits to positively impact the communities where we work, serve and live, and on the importance of building a diverse, global, multi-generational brand,” Jarrett said.
Why Watch
Jarrett and her team are focused on positioning Guidehouse for continued growth by raising awareness of its brand, capabilities and leadership, expanding channels, targeting efforts to enhance client impact and strengthening its global market presence while celebrating the unique “People First” culture.
Jarrett believes building a strong, inspiring brand requires balancing external strategies with internal stakeholder engagement. She works across the organization to create training, content, tools and campaigns aimed at improving the employee experience, driving sales effectiveness, fostering the company’s unique culture and elevating the brand through purposeful work led by its people.
Fun fact:Earlier in her career, Jarrett worked for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, where she gained sports sponsor management experience that shaped her work on the D.C. United partnership. Her most impactful Olympic moments were running the Olympic torch and leading Greece onto the field during the opening and closing ceremonies. At the time, her father was battling colon cancer, and her involvement in the Games became a way to honor him.
