    Greg Fortier, SAIC

    Greg Fortier

Senior Vice President of Army Business Group, SAIC

Greg Fortier recently led the unprecedented rapid delivery of a critical capability needed by SAIC’s Army customer that will have both national and global implications. Fortier’s team delivered this solution within two weeks.

“Greg’s combination of energy, work ethic, commitment, capability and credibility is unmatched,” said Josh Jackson, executive vice president of the Army business group at SAIC. “His transition from Army officer to senior executive within SAIC has been truly remarkable to watch, and it is a privilege to work with him daily as we accelerate Army modernization.”

    Why Watch

In 2024, Fortier is heavily focused on advancing technology and innovation that not only meets but exceeds the needs of customers. Fortier’s team is on a mission to grow and expand SAIC’s long legacy in Huntsville with full dedication to the Huntsville/Madison County community and commitment to perform while transforming the business to meet the ever-evolving needs of the nation.

In 2005, a close friend of Fortier’s, who aimed to run 50 marathons by age 50, was killed in Iraq after completing 39. At his memorial, Fortier committed to running the remaining 11 in his honor. Over the next seven years, he completed those races for Chief Warrant Officer 4 Matt Lourey. The time spent running gave Fortier space for reflection and personal growth, helping him improve spiritually, emotionally and physically.

“After 50 years on earth, I have been blessed beyond any measure,” Fortier said. “Whether it is by my wife and two daughters, my tremendous friends and mentors or with my SAIC family, I marvel at the wonderful people that have crossed my path and have been willing to assist me, coach me and mentor me through a 26-year career in uniform as well as nearly three years in industry.”
