    Dwayne Paro, MTSI

    Dwayne Paro

Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Modern Technology Solutions

Dwayne Paro recently achieved a significant milestone by expanding MTSI’s strategic capabilities with the addition of two new service areas: digital data management and software development.

Positioning MTSI as a trusted advisor to external customers across all divisions, the service areas also bolster support for coworkers.

“You must empower those that work with you in order for them to be engaged and successful not only as a member of the organization but personally,” Paro said.

MTSI is currently establishing fundamental practices and principles for new service areas through an important multiyear approach, driving the growth of the company.

    Why Watch

Since starting MTSI in 2008, Paro has worked to elevate the value of IT services and facility capabilities in all aspects of the organization. IT utilization is a strategic advantage that adds value to services delivered to customers, internal and external, he said.

Kevin Robinson, MTSI CEO and president, said Paro has grown the infrastructure group “to be at the center of all things strategic that MTSI is doing in the foreseeable future.”

Paro’s team focuses heavily on strategically aligned, mission-driven, leading-edge services and support to coworkers and customers through advanced cloud computing, generative artificial intelligence, secure agile software development and data management technologies. The work ties directly into the company’s strategic plan initiatives and vision of being an enduring, employee-centric, best place to work company delivering first-choice solutions to solve problems of global importance.

“As an employee owner, I feel privileged to lead such a diverse, amazingly skillful group committed not only to the long-term future of MTSI but our customers in the government first and foremost,” Paro said. “As a third-generation veteran, this is at the core of who I am and what I love doing for our great nation.”

Fun fact: While not a hockey player himself, Paro spends his free time traveling to hockey arenas at all levels of the sport with his family. Through this passion, they make friends locally and around the country.
