Cadmus and Riverside Technology, inc., won a multi-million dollar contract to support the National Centers for Environmental Information under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Under the contract, Riverside will provide science and engagement support services to meet NCEI’s mandates in the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Cadmus will leverage its climate, data analysis and stakeholder engagement expertise to improve NOAA’s service delivery, and to prototype, develop and release new data and services for climate risk analyses.

“Cadmus is proud to be leading this national user engagement effort on behalf of NOAA as part of Team Riverside,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline.

“Powered by a once-in-a-generation funding infusion provided by the IRA and BIL, this project will provide critically important resources to help traditionally underserved communities and priority sectors of the U.S. economy ⏤ across all 50 states and U.S. territories ⏤ adapt and become more resilient to climate risk and impacts.”

Under the contract, Cadmus will lead user engagement on behalf of the Riverside team through NCEI’s Industry Proving Grounds to connect with end-users and promote equitable access to actionable climate data. Cadmus’ specialists will engage with six sectors of the economy by conducting dozens of interviews, events, surveys and other activities each year.

The award of this task order is one of several that Cadmus has won under the ProTech Satellites 2.0 IDIQ vehicle, the company said.
