Airbus Defence and Space has entered into an agreement to acquire INFODAS, a company based in Cologne, Germany, that provides cybersecurity and IT solutions in the public sector, including for defense and critical infrastructures.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and slated to be finalized before the end of 2024.

This acquisition bolsters Airbus’ strategy to enhance its cybersecurity offerings for European and global customers

“With exponential cyber threats, along with the increasing digitalization and connectivity of its products and systems, cybersecurity is a pivotal component of Airbus’ development,” the company said in announcing the news.

“Over the last years, the group has continuously developed its cybersecurity capabilities and expertise, ensuring the best possible protection for its products, operations, customers, and ecosystem, including major programs such as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS),” Airbus Defence and Space said.

INFODAS has about 250 employees and annual revenues of approximately 50 million euros. In addition to its headquarters in Cologne, it has offices in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Munich, and Mainz, Germany.
