Nokia announced the appointment of Gerardo Marcor as chief operating officer of Nokia Federal Solutions, effective immediately.

Marcor brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to NFS, having held various executive positions in the U.S., Latin America and Europe.

“We are thrilled to welcome Gerardo to the Nokia Federal leadership team,” said Mike Loomis, president and CEO of NFS. “Gerardo’s extensive experience in the telecom industry, coupled with his proven ability to lead and deliver results, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business and provide innovative solutions to government customers.”

In his most recent role as customer experience chief financial officer, Marcor supported the implementation of a companywide sales strategy while achieving significant cost reductions and working capital optimization, the company said.

Prior to that, he was Nokia’s Americas CFO and held leadership positions in Latin America and Europe regions, playing a key role in driving growth and profitability.

“I am excited to be joining NFS at such a pivotal time,” Marcor said. “I am confident that together with the talented team at Nokia Federal, we will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers and strengthen our position as a leading provider of technology solutions to the U.S. Federal Government.”
