Dawn-Marie Gray
Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility, Cadmus
Two years ago, Cadmus introduced the DEIA Passport Program, a continuous learning and inclusive leadership curriculum consisting of 10 learning resources. This includes Cadmus Resource Groups, voluntary, employee-led networks providing spaces for colleagues to connect, build community and foster belonging.
In October 2023, Cadmus launched a second CRG aimed at early-career professionals. Based on inclusivity and collaboration, this new group’s steering committee and members focus on networking, professional development, elevating marginalized voices, personal growth and nurturing future Cadmus leaders. Cadmus CHRO Kerri Morehart is the group’s executive sponsor.
“DEIA is a business practice that exists to collectively dismantle systems of inequity and redesign a more inclusive and just work environment,” said Dawn-Marie Gray. “This effort requires a growth mindset where we learn to think differently about differences, shifting our actions and behaviors to challenge the status quo – or how things have always been done – and disrupt harmful norms that intentionally or unintentionally exclude ‘others.'”
Why Watch
In 2024, Cadmus is focusing on using transformative technologies as a crucial part of its mission to achieve extraordinary results. This applies not just to client work, but also to the organization and its employees. The company is emphasizing the fourth component of its DEIA strategic framework: using data analysis and insights. This effort aims to identify and address disparities in the experiences of candidates and colleagues, particularly those from underrepresented social identity groups who face ongoing exclusion or marginalization.
“Continuous improvement anchors Cadmus’ organizational journey, and Dawn-Marie’s collaborative approach helps drive transformative changes and keep DEIA principles at the core of our decision-making,” said Paul Lynch, Cadmus chief operating officer. “Her impact is evident through the many projects she has led, including the Cadmus Resource Groups program, the creation of our Leadership Capability Model, the development of the CadmusAdvance leadership program, and our 2023 performance review process, which has been optimized for increased effectiveness, efficiency and equity.”
