In 2023, ManTech improved its Diversity Networks by adding two employee resource groups: the Black Professionals Network and LEVELUP, targeting early career, transitioning, next-generation and first-generation professionals, according to Kimberly Highsmith.
The company also held its first summit to review all HR policies and procedures, aiming to ensure an equitable work environment. Additionally, ManTech developed a DEI BI Dashboard to track and assess the progress of these initiatives.

In 2024, ManTech’s enterprisewide work will be heavily focused on embedding and enriching its DEI journey by elevating the employee experience, strengthening its external market presence and sharing its differentiated story. Highsmith describes ManTech as a unique place known for its shared purpose, closeness, inclusivity and belonging – pillars that defined the company’s environment since its inception.
“DEI is like reinforcing in adults all the things they learned in kindergarten: to be kind to everyone, show respect, take turns, share and come together to achieve a common goal,” she said. “If we can all remember these lessons, we’ll see that the concepts that form the basis of DEI are ingrained in everyone.”
