    Matthew Carle

Line of Business President, Defense, Koniag Government Services

Since taking charge of the defense portfolio in 2021, Matt Carle has achieved 20% year-over-year revenue growth, all from organic expansion. He strengthened Koniag’s capabilities in deploying transformative technologies and established a team integrated into the Defense Department and national security agencies. Its goal is to deliver tangible mission success for customers.

“Matt has done an excellent job partnering with our customers and leading the KGS team to respond with technologies and solutions to help our Defense and National Security customers achieve mission success across 25 contracts,” said KGS CEO Kevin Wideman. “He’s built a stellar team that has made significant contributions to the mission of our customers and to the growth of KGS.“

    Why Watch

Carle and his team are focused on helping KGS customers use technology to solve their most difficult challenges and deliver rapid improvements to their mission capabilities. Whether it’s AI and machine learning, secure cloud computing or zero-trust cyber security, KGS is at the forefront of rapid implementation with a customer-centric approach and will continue to be a leader in providing transformational results for its customers.

“The threats to our nation are increasing in velocity and complexity, and we need to rapidly improve our capability to respond to these threats,” Carle said. “Working at Koniag affords me the opportunity to work with amazing teams of people to help deliver these capabilities every day. Our success is the nation’s success, but just as importantly, as an Alaska Native Corporation, our growth directly results in the improvement of the quality of life for our Native communities in Alaska.”
