Milad Bahrami
Senior Vice President of Civilian Health Solutions, Leidos
This year, Milad Bahrami’s greatest achievement includes aligning his team that innovates for civilian agencies like CDC, NIH and SSA. The team manages the nation’s most widely used health care-associated infection tracking system at CDC, supports the IT infrastructure for NIH’s eRA grants management solution and deployed the SSA Enterprise-wide Scheduling System across 29 states.
Bahrami exemplifies unparalleled leadership in the federal health community, consistently driving the delivery of mission-centric solutions, leading the charge in modernizing legacy systems and championing the widespread adoption of low-code platforms, said Liz Porter, Leidos Health Group president.
“His unwavering focus on the future is a testament to his visionary approach, continually harnessing innovation to empower our ability to serve our customers both today and in the ever-evolving landscape of tomorrow,” Porter added.
Why Watch
In 2023, Bahrami’s team is concentrating on three key areas. First, it’s penetrating the state health and Medicaid market by applying its extensive system integration and domain expertise to state Medicaid Enterprise Systems. Second, the team continues to modernize the ASPR Ready Disaster Management Platform, enhancing agency collaboration, information and data flow. Lastly, the team plays a pivotal role in rejuvenating FDA by expediting the transformation of its legacy system, refining management and business processes and formulating a data strategy with an integrated data platform.
As a refugee and immigrant, Bahrami’s parents constantly emphasized to him the significance of taking charge of one’s destiny regardless of the circumstances. “Your life is your responsibility” is a lesson he carries with him daily.
