    Ilene Baylinson, Maximus

General Manager of the U.S. Services Segment, Maximus

It seems like the days of a person staying with one company for decades to guide and shape its growth have come and gone, especially in the government contractor space.

That’s why Ilene Baylinson stands out. When she joined Maximus in 1991, the company’s revenue was roughly $20 million. Three decades later, Maximus is approaching $5 billion. Baylinson has been an integral part of the company’s growth and success, originally leading and building its BPO practice. Now, she oversees the U.S. Services Segment, responsible for all state and local government markets.

Under her leadership, Maximus is now one of the leading providers of health and human services support in more than 40 states. Baylinson believes one of her keys to success is constantly developing an industry-leading team, ready to assist their state partners, no matter what challenges they face.

“The most exciting aspect of seeing Maximus grow as a company has been the development of our staff,” Baylinson said. “At Maximus, we believe our people are our differentiator. Our team is committed to helping our clients serve the neediest people across the country, while continuing to improve the value that we deliver to our customers.”

    Why Watch

As Baylinson looks to the future, she’s positioning her team to strengthen and grow its core business and provide new and innovative solutions to help clients address complex problems. Maximus’ core mission is moving people, technology and government forward.
