    Tom Lapato, ECS

    Tom Lapato

Vice President of the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit, ECS

Since ECS’ acquisition of ERPi in August of 2021, Tom Lapato has overseen the expansion of the ECS Civilian Health practice. His team helps the Veterans Health Administration execute the strategic initiatives of VHA’s Office of Healthcare Transformation, while also expanding ECS service to the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration and other vital Department of Health & Human Services missions. He recently worked with VHA leadership to design and implement a governance framework to safely and rapidly deliver artificial intelligence applications to frontline clinical staff members at VHA health care facilities.

“Tom and his team exemplify mission focus and service to our clients,” said Keith Quigley, senior vice president of the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit at ECS. “We are proud to be at the forefront of advanced health care delivery and technology.”

    Why Watch

Lapato’s team is at the forefront of VHA’s continued transformation. It’s identifying and implementing innovative emerging technologies ― such as artificial intelligence and immersive technologies — that will improve the care the nation’s veterans receive, while also enhancing patient and employee experiences. VHA’s groundbreaking work will change the face of health care across the U.S. and globally.

“I am proud of our team’s journey ― from addressing the 2014 access crisis at VHA health care facilities, to enabling groundbreaking health care transformation through improved management and operations and the application of advanced technologies,” Lapato said. “I have been fortunate to serve some of the hardest-working, most mission-dedicated, and innovative government leaders throughout this journey, which is tremendously meaningful to me.”
