Upon joining SMX in 2021, Amanda Thornhill Morrison immediately immersed herself in a major rebranding initiative aimed at unifying four previously separate companies.
In 2019, SMX’s private equity investor, OceanSound Partners, fused four acquired companies to form the current SMX. Morrison actively helped shape the rebranding, introducing a fresh visual identity, renaming the company and launching a dynamic website.
She took part in creating a new mission and core values for the organization. Additionally, she put together a team that broadened the marketing and communications function’s capabilities and boosted SMX’s brand visibility and recognition.
“Amanda has quickly established herself as a trusted executive leader at SMX,” said SMX CEO Peter LaMontagne. “She has contributed directly to business successes both internally by building better communications with employees as well as externally by establishing the SMX brand identity in a very competitive market. She is a bright talent, and SMX is fortunate that Amanda is our chief marketing officer.”
In partnership with SMX’s client-facing Digital Solutions Group and strategy and technology experts, Morrison and her team rolled out SMX Elevate℠. This innovative solution delivery model combines the company’s intelligent automation platform with versatile technical teams to speed up clients’ mission and business objectives.
Why Watch
In May 2023, Morrison and her team launched a new commercial platform called Elevate ISR℠. This platform uses both traditional and unique intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance strategies and data. It offers a new way to use data and meet the intelligence needs and mission priorities of clients. Morrison and SMX experts created visually appealing materials to help clients easily understand how to use and benefit from the platform.
