At this year’s Pinnacle Awards, we’ll celebrate the journey, career, contributions and longstanding impact of SAIC CEO Nazzic S. Keene.
The awards gala will be live, in-person Nov. 16 at The Ritz Carlton in McLean, Virginia.
Keene has three decades of experience in the information systems and technology services industries, with over 20 years in executive management. She joined SAIC in 2012, and became CEO and was elected to SAIC’s board of directors in 2019.
Prior to CEO, Keene was chief operating officer, president of the company’s Global Markets & Missions sector and senior vice president for corporate strategy. Before joining SAIC, she was the senior vice president and general manager for U.S. enterprise markets at CGI and led the company’s U.S. expansion.
Keene has been honored with multiple awards including WashingtonExec’s 2021 Chief Officer Award and the Power Women award from New York Moves magazine, among others.
Outside her day job, Keene is an active supporter of several nonprofits, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Feeding America. The LLS honored Keene with the 2022 James L. Eichberg Lifetime Achievement Award for her 20 years of dedication and commitment to the mission of LLS ⏤ a cause she feels particularly passionate about.
Keene is a member of ADP’s board of directors, the Inova Health System board of trustees and the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
She has also been an advocate for women in the workplace serving as a mentor for numerous women throughout her career. She is an executive champion for SAIC’s AccelerātHER Women’s Leadership Academy, a program that identifies high-potential women across SAIC, where she pairs them with mentors and provides access to unique, diverse learning and experiences.
Ultimately, her road to CEO wasn’t deliberate, and it was never about the title, Keene told WashingtonExec in an interview.
“It was always about, for me, the ability to make an impact, the ability to help transform, change, grow, regardless of what the title was,” she said. “So that to me is the most intriguing part of whatever role I’ve been in.”
