    David Hathaway, ManTech

    David Hathaway

Executive Vice President & General Manager of Defense Sector, ManTech

David Hathaway’s notable accomplishment is ManTech winning an $862 million contract for full lifecycle maintenance support for TACOM, the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command’s mission-critical systems and vehicles. This work will help maintain a technical advantage for U.S. warfighters and partners, crucial for success in various combat situations.

ManTech uses advanced solutions like predictive analytics to assess the lifespan of each component in military vehicles, enabling timely repairs or replacements. This approach enhances vehicle reliability, contributing to mission success and better performance of forces in combat.

“Dave’s deep knowledge of technology, his service in the military and his first-hand experience managing large, successful enterprises in our space have made him the perfect fit for ManTech and taking our Defense sector to the next level,” said Matt Tait, ManTech CEO and president.

    Why Watch

In 2023, the Defense Sector team is heavily focused on AI, digital twinning and model-based systems engineering and machine learning, incorporating these advanced capabilities in their work.

For example, they use AI and analytics in cognitive cyber to quickly detect and fix network vulnerabilities, while intelligent systems engineering speeds up the development and deployment of the nation’s Missile Defense System. ManTech aims to integrate AI and ML into solutions that meet mission requirements and set industry and government standards.

“I am passionate about DOD missions and the people that make them happen every day,” Hathaway said. “As a company where nearly half of our employees are veterans, as am I, and subject matter experts in the latest technologies and capabilities in the industry, ManTech is ideally suited and equipped to bring a 3D view to our DOD customers’ needs — the best of technology, operations and mission know-how.”
