Steve Hogan achieved a major success at CAES by restructuring the contracting strategy for the U.S. Surface Fleet’s SPY-6 Radar acquisition program, in collaboration with prime contractors and suppliers. By adopting a multiyear contract approach, they achieved significant cost reductions and saved time without requiring congressional approval for the multiyear contract.
“I love complex problem solving,” he said. “My passion is to make complex mission challenges simple, so that the team can get behind the strategy and implement innovative and timely solutions for our warfighters.”

In 2023, Hogan’s team is heavily focused on improving operational excellence. This would include strategy, procurement, partnerships, manufacturing, quality and program execution activities that all need to be aligned so the CAES team can anticipate and meet customers’ expectations, deliver high-quality products and bring value to investors.
