Tarik Reyes, Peraton

Peraton has secured one of eight awards with the Department of the Navy’s PEO C4I and Space, Tactical Networks Program Office for shore, surface and submarine platform production.

Those components include kits, modules, software, spares and development items. The work falls under the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services Full Deployment Production Units contract. It’s worth $4 billion over 10 years.

CANES is the Navy’s program of record that consolidates and replaces existing afloat networks providing the necessary infrastructure for applications, systems and services. These are needed to modernize the cyber warfare tactical domain.

“The Navy mission continues to be complex and critical to the defense of our nation and allies,” said Tarik Reyes, president of the defense mission and health solutions sector. “CANES gives Peraton and our partners the opportunity to expand our support in modernizing naval systems to take advantage of technology advances needed to support current and future warfighter requirements.”

Peraton has integrated COTS networks for the Defense Department with annual deliveries of 10 to 100 times the component quantity of CANES. The company brings a track record of addressing interdependencies, risks, issues and build-to-print production processes and schedules.
