Ray Coleman has been named Koniag Government Services’ new chief information officer.

“Ray’s long history with the Department of Defense makes him a perfect fit for KGS,” said CEO Kevin Wideman.

Coleman is a U.S. Army veteran with more than 25 years of IT and cybersecurity experience in DOD.

“Ray is a proven leader who has shown to consistently be at the forefront of the complex and ever-changing world of IT and cybersecurity,” Wideman added. “And with his wealth of knowledge, his wise counsel will be extremely useful in delivering innovation to our customers. We couldn’t be more thrilled to add him to our team.”

As CIO, Coleman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT systems and cybersecurity programs for KGS. He will provide technical leadership and maintain a current vision for future technology needs, recommending strategies, priorities and projects to achieve the company’s strategic IT goals and objectives.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to help lead a great team and an ever-growing company,” Coleman said. “Strong IT and security departments are more important than ever in today’s world, and I look forward to helping KGS stay at the cutting-edge in a highly competitive arena.”
