Angie (Casper) Combs
Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, CACI
Since joining CACI in 2018, Angie Combs’ successes have landed the company on many top lists, including Fortune, Forbes, The Washington Post and Top Workplace USA. Combs has overhauled the focus of her team to be “relentlessly talent-centric and future-focused” through initiatives that resonate with all 22,000 of CACI’s employees.
“One of my top priorities as CHRO is to help develop and inspire our leaders to transform personally and professionally, especially as our managers and employees continuously evolve,” she said. “I firmly believe that if our people find purpose and value in what they are doing every day, the workplace becomes a destination for growth, achievement, enrichment and community.”
Recently, Combs took meaningful steps to bring new diversity and inclusion initiatives to CACI. She formed a team to advance CACI’s D&I strategy using a laser-focused approach called the “Path to Inclusion.” The team introduced five new employee resource groups, with positive feedback from employees averaging about 95% and expanded relationships with diverse organizations.
Combs also helped employees build their careers through a program called #makingmoves, which provides technology and leadership support for employees looking to advance their careers within the company.
Why Watch
Combs’ work is just beginning. She and her team are currently introducing programs that will improve day-to-day experiences for employees and create workplaces where they can thrive by building a culture of solidarity and shared purpose. In the next phase of her plan, CACI will focus on enhancing its university programs to increase its talent acquisition efforts and will have a greater focus on how CACI evolves to accommodate a new workforce.
“Angie has not only helped navigate us through an incredibly challenging time, the ongoing pandemic, but she has also encouraged us to do more to holistically support CACI employees,” said CACI President and CEO John Mengucci. “She has challenged us to lead differently by focusing on two-way mentoring and continuous dialog with our employees in an ongoing effort to create the most positive workplace.”
