    John George, ICF

    John George

    CIO, ICF

John George leads ICF’s IT organization in advancing the company’s digital modernization growth strategy: to provide clients with agile and scalable solutions, backed by deep industry expertise, which solve the world’s most complex and pressing challenges. Collaboration drives innovation, and George’s team makes that happen for ICF’s 8,000 experts in a secure and streamlined way.

To facilitate secure collaboration and protect against ever-evolving security threats, George and his team implemented global unified threat management, intelligent endpoint protection and artificial intelligence-based threat analytics. They also strengthened back-office efficiencies so employees could focus on client delivery.

To quickly and effectively address the IT needs of employees, George’s team developed AI-based tools and real-time analytics to predict faults and analyze user ticketing trends. As a result, the team saw a 65% automation rate for all IT-related service requests. This high degree of automation and strong ratio of supported users-to-IT staff allows employees to efficiently get the support they need.

“I lead a very talented group of tech professionals who share a common vision for a digitally transformed IT organization,” George said. “I see my role as CIO as a lead architect and advocate for my team. And I’m proud of the collaborative and innovative work we’ve accomplished.”

    Why Watch

Over the past six months, ICF acquired three companies that enhance the ability to deliver more cutting-edge IT modernization services that help federal clients achieve their missions. George’s team has focused on flawless technology integration so the acquired teams’ client delivery isn’t slowed and cross-team collaboration is seamless.

In 2022, George’s team also implemented a master data distribution platform that simplifies systems integrations and adds a master data governance process. This strengthens ICF’s ability to share information between systems. As the company continues to grow, George’s team will use this architecture to quickly replace or add new technology platforms.

“John’s leadership continues to enable ICF’s growth trajectory and equip our teams to do the best work possible for our clients,” said James Morgan, chief operating officer at ICF. “Thanks to his guidance and strategic investments, we’re a nimble, streamlined and collaborative global company that’s bringing innovation and impact to the world.”
