Tamar Becks
Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion, CACI
Tamar Becks is a firm believer a transformation from good to great never happens overnight — but rather through gradual, deliberate actions that amount to extraordinary results.
When Becks joined CACI in February 2021, she partnered with the company’s executive leadership team and the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory team to advance CACI’s D&I strategy using a laser-focused approach built on CACI’s strong foundation of ethics and integrity. This strategy further emphasizes promoting an inclusive culture; diversity of talent; and science, technology, engineering and math outreach and strategic partnerships.
In a post-pandemic world, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging has become a prominent area of focus to create a more connected and humanistic workplace employees need to thrive, according to Becks. With this in mind, Becks and her team introduced the “Path to Inclusion” movement, which equips company leaders with inclusive leadership skills and helps build inclusive teams, while creating meaningful connections and collaborative work environments.
As a result of these efforts, CACI has recently garnered recognitions by Forbes as a “Top Female Friendly Employer 2021” and among the “Best Companies for Diversity in 2022.”
“Tamar’s approach to developing our D&I strategy was to truly understand our culture and design the most impactful initiatives to move us forward on our journey,” said Angie Casper, CACI executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
“Similarly, she has a gift for ‘meeting people where they are’ and for sharing her own experiences to illustrate the human side of this incredibly complex topic. We are so grateful Tamar has chosen to apply her talents at CACI and are extremely proud that she is ‘one to watch!’”
Why Watch
In 2022, Becks and her team plan to build upon their current momentum of advancing diversity and inclusion in partnership with the executive leadership team and the support of CACI’s employee resource groups.
“We want to be known for being the place where people feel empowered to take action, inspired by CACI’s mission, and passionate about making a difference for our customers, our company, and the community, specifically by inspiring children in underserved communities to pursue careers in STEM,” Becks said.
