Kathie Powers’ biggest achievement this year was twofold: reengineering a solid company and business financial reporting file that hits all the key metrics to be successful in monitoring and achieving plans; and reimagining a monthly rolling forecast to track progress in achieving the annual plans.

In 2022, Powers’ team is heavily focused on bringing in a software package that can support rapidly changing revenue streams.
“Riverside Research Institute continually surprises me on the depth of technology and research the technical staff performs on contracts and IR&D,” Powers said. “The people are some of the smartest I have come across in over 35 years in GovCon. The CFO team continually achieves the requirements we are tasked to figure out. We are frequently asked to financially identify how to treat many of the technology developments.
