WashingtonExec hosted a Chief Officer Awards Reception on April 28 at the Westwood Country Club in Vienna, Virginia, for all the finalists, their close colleagues and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in advance of the May 11 event at the The Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Virginia. Over 100 people were in attendance.
The annual event recognizes the most impactful and innovative C-suite executives in government and industry. The goal is to showcase the technologists, security experts and business leaders making waves in government contracting from both sides of the sector. All winners will be announced on May 11.
WashingtonExec has been highlighting some of the finalists and their careers on its website for weeks, and many of them were in attendance at the finalist reception.
“Congratulations to my fellow Chief Officer nominees. I am humbled to be part of such a prestigious group leading the charge for government transformation and empowering future public sector servants,” said Ali Manouchehri, CEO of MetroStar and Chief Officer Awards finalist in the CEO category. “And, a special thank you to Mac Curtis for his unbound commitment to pushing the boundaries to uniquely meet our nation’s federal civilian and defense needs.”
Alka Bhave, chief operating officer of Riverside Research, also attended. Steven Omick, Riverside Research CEO, is a Chief Officer Awards finalist in the CEO category.
“The COA finalist reception was a very enjoyable event to celebrate all of the outstanding finalists and re-connect with GovCon leaders,” Bhave said. “It was so great to see former colleagues and friends again.”
