Richard “Chip” Terry’s more than 30 years of experience includes having served in two of the foremost positions in military health care: chief information officer of the Air Force Medical Service and CIO of the Military Health System/Defense Health Agency.
Today, Terry’s ASRC Federal team supports health contracts across DHA, the Defense Healthcare Management Systems, the Army, the Defense Department, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services, the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Under his leadership, the team grew the company’s health contracts for 2020-2021 by 30% through wins with NIH, DHA and the Army.
During the pandemic, Terry’s mHealth Clinical Integration team developed tools and applications for physicians, along with coping aids and resources for frontline health care workers, children and families.
Additionally, his team built a quarantine tracker for the Air Force to help leadership monitor the COVID-19 status of basic trainees at Joint Base San Antonio.
“I’m deeply proud of the work accomplished by ASRC Federal’s Health team over the last year,” Terry said. “In a year where there was uncertainty and heightened reliance on our health systems, we rose to every challenge, achieving exceptional results for our customers as they supported the country amid the pandemic.”
Why Watch
In the coming months, Terry’s team will focus on growing the HHS portfolio, primarily in CMS and NIH, with tailored pursuits in Food and Drug Administration. He is excited about continued growth, which allows him to further cultivate a diverse team of health professionals — including many fellow retired servicemen and women — to advance his customers’ missions.
