Under Lauren McGinley’s leadership as vice president, general counsel, secretary & chief ethics and compliance officer, Noblis’ ethics program has grown and continued to earn Noblis recognition as a World’s Most Ethical Company for the ninth and 10th times in 2020 and 2021.
McGinley, who has worked at Noblis since 2012, oversees all legal and ethical matters and has corporate secretary duties including corporate governance, corporate transactions, tax compliance, intellectual property, litigation management, employment issues and real estate.
In 2020, she successfully led Noblis in legal and due diligence activities toward a significant acquisition in the defense market. Ethics are of paramount importance to Noblis as a company in the federal space committed to doing work for the public good, she said.
“I firmly believe there is a strong correlation between being an ethical company and a successful company,” McGinley said, “especially in the hyperregulated government contracting industry. We support critical national missions and are held to the highest standards for good reasons.”
Why Watch
McGinley will continue to play a key role in the recent acquisition of McKean Defense and its affiliates as this transaction positions Noblis to expand its defense mission area impacts and bring new and complementary capabilities, technologies and contract vehicles to collective clients.
In April 2021, she was appointed to chair WashingtonExec’s new General Counsel Council, where she has already surveyed members to confirm key topics the team wants to address.
“I’m honored and excited to lead the council,” McGinley said. “It’s a great opportunity to collaborate on pressing topics with colleagues across the industry. And as the founding council, we have a lot of flexibility and creativity to chart the path and set a strong foundation for future committees.”
