    Bob Pragada, Jacobs Engineering Group

Bob Pragada, president and chief operating officer at Jacobs Engineering Group, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Chief Officer Award for Public Company COO.

In its second year, the Chief Officer Awards luncheon was held May 27 as a virtual live-streamed program to recognize C-suite executives in both industry and government for their innovation, expertise, impact and thought leadership.

Pragada leads businesses that partner with clients to design, build and deliver buildings for private and government clients; infrastructure to support water, transportation, aviation, ports and maritime needs; and advanced facilities for electronics, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and biotechnology.

Pragada joined Jacobs in 2006, and has since held several senior management positions. He returned to Jacobs in 2016 after serving as president and CEO of the Brock Group, a provider of industrial specialty services including routine maintenance, turnarounds and capital projects. Prior to Jacobs, Pragada was COO at Kinetics.

Pragada is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and began his career in the Navy as a civil engineer corps and seabees officer. He has a master’s degree in engineering and management from Stanford University and professional engineering license.
