    Mehul Sanghani, Octo Consulting

Mehul Sanghani, CEO and founder of Octo Consulting, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Chief Officer Award for Private-Equity Backed Company CEO.

In its second year, the Chief Officer Awards luncheon was held May 27 as a virtual live-streamed program to recognize C-suite executives in both industry and government for their innovation, expertise, impact and thought leadership.

Sanghani launched Octo at age 30, and has since grown the firm around advancing customer missions while expanding capabilities and solutions for customers. As CEO, he leads IT strategy and business transformation initiatives for corporations and federal government agencies.

Under his leadership, Octo has won several awards for innovation and has been named a top workplace. Octo was featured in Washingtonian Magazine’s “50 Best Workplaces” and was ranked the #11 best workplace in the Commonwealth by Virginia Business Magazine.

Sanghani has three bachelor’s degrees from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in industrial systems engineering, finance and psychology. He serves on Virginia Tech’s Board of Trustees/Visitors, and on the board for the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech. He is also a board member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
