CALIBRE Systems, Inc. has appointed Charles Onstott as vice president and chief technology officer to foster innovation and help grow the company through the development of new enterprise IT solutions.
Onstott brings 27 years of government contracting and leadership experience with Science Applications International Corp., where he most recently served as CTO. There, he built and led IT service organizations in IT managed services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data science and IT business transformation for public and private sector clients. As CTO, he led the company’s long-term technology strategy.
In his new position, Onstott will work closely with CALIBRE’s growth team and operations divisions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks for delivering the company’s IT services. This includes identifying competitive services and opportunities for innovation, and assessing marketplace trends and technical. He also joins CALIBRE’s corporate and executive leadership teams.
“New technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, augmented reality and virtual reality, Internet of Things, and next generation cybersecurity can be game changers for securely improving mission effectiveness and efficiencies while providing outstanding citizen and employee experiences,” Onstott said. “Successful IT transformation enables customers to leverage these next generation technologies to maximum effect.”
Onstott said he’s excited about the vision and direction CALIBRE is going, and to join the leadership team to help advance IT transformation capabilities.

Onstott was awarded WashingtonExec Public Company CTO of the Year in 2020.
