“No plan survives its first contact with the enemy” — a military quote U.S. Army veteran and ASRC Federal Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Mike Teegardin takes to heart.
“I think about it in this way: While your objective remains the same, your tactics have to adapt to the situation,” he said.
Since joining ASRC Federal in late 2017, Teegardin has built a dynamic communications, marketing and public affairs team that excels at strategic planning while being agile and responsive to the operating environment. Employee engagement, external communications and community relations are the pillars Teegardin has structured his team around to serve the ASRC Federal business.
“I am proud of how our team has worked diligently and creatively to leverage the foundation built over the last few years and use it as a springboard to launch new, innovative methods to achieve our goals during the pandemic,” he said. “We’ve been inventing and reimagining our work and many of the tactics we implemented will remain part of our ongoing practices long after this crisis.”
Teegardin points to ASRC Federal’s culture — rooted in values embracing community, teamwork and stewardship — as what sets the company apart. ASRC Federal employees and Teegardin’s team rallied to support front-line workers and first responders across the country in a variety of ways including 3D printing face shields and donating personal protective equipment.
