Kristen Sanchez, Vice President, Corporate Communications, SAP NS2
Kristen Sanchez has more than 20 years of experience building brand, digital and content strategies for top technology organizations. In 2020, she created a virtual speaker series at SAP NS2 to motivate and encourage employees amid the pandemic.
“We wanted to give the team something to look forward to in this stressful time for many,” Sanchez said. “We have hosted virtual fireside chats with speakers like Peloton’s vice president of fitness programming, Robin Arzon and Katie Sowers, offensive assistant coach for the San Francisco 49’ers, on how to stay motivated and engaged in today’s new normal. The feedback has been fantastic from our team.”
Sanchez credits Microsoft Teams and SharePoint as integral tools for effective internal communications since the onset of the pandemic.
“Our organization moved to a virtual workforce overnight back in mid-March,” she said. “Along with creating more avenues for informing and engaging employees like online town hall meetings, these tools have been key for collaboration across our functional areas and organizationwide.”
Why Watch
For the remainder of 2020, Sanchez’s focus is continuing to disseminate the NS2 innovation story to internal and external stakeholders. This includes moving the company’s annual customer event, NS2 Now, from the usual in-person event to a digital format on Oct. 29.
Sanchez launched the event in 2011, which brings together over 800 attendees annually to discuss the intersection of national security and technology. Past keynote speakers include former Presidents G.W. Bush and Bill Clinton as well as Condoleezza Rice.
“At the NS2 Now Digital Summit, attendees will learn how NS2 is enabling the digital transformation of our customers in the areas of innovation, cloud and cybersecurity,” Sanchez said.
