The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Services Council have announced the finalists for the 2020 Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards, which recognize exceptional work of leaders and businesses in the region’s government contracting sector.
This year, the awards winners will be announced Nov. 4 at an evening gala, which has been dubbed the “Academy Awards of Government Contracting.”
“As leaders supporting the government contracting industry, we are proceeding carefully and thoughtfully with this year’s awards knowing some company’s and executives may not believe this type of program makes sense at this time,” according to a statement announcing the finalists. “However, at the same time we believe that by continuing the awards process we will be showing responsible leadership to convene, either in person or perhaps virtually, this vital industry to pay homage to its importance to our society and economy.
