On June 1, Redhorse Corp. announced John Zangardi as its new president, placing him at the helm of daily operations while company founder and CEO David Inmon manages growth strategy.
Zangardi most recently was senior vice president of business initiatives and strategic partnerships with Leidos Civil Group, but his career began in the U.S. Navy as a naval flight officer. Upon his retirement, Zangardi received an appointment to the Senior Executive Service as deputy director of Warfare Integration Programs in the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations Communications Network Directorate.
He later served as director for program integration and as deputy to the director for concepts, strategy and integration for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations Information Dominance.
Later in his career, Zangardi was named chief information officer at the Department of Homeland Security. There, he spearheaded initiatives to improve cybersecurity technology, cloud computing, data analytics, identity management and telecommunications.
Zangardi also served as acting CIO at the Defense Department; as deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Information Operations, and Space; and as acting CIO for the Department of the Navy.
“John joins an outstanding team,” Inmom said. “His reputation as a visionary digital transformation leader is widely recognized. I am confident that working together, we will lead the Redhorse team to deliver new levels of innovation, performance, and service for our customers.”
