WashingtonExec on June 17 unveiled the winners of the Chief Officer Awards, a program that highlights and recognizes C-suite executives both in industry and government.

A panel of judges chose the 17 winners from a group of nearly 60 finalists. Booz Allen Hamilton Chief Innovation Officer Susan Penfield was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her advocacy for women in STEM careers and her drive to continually advance the firm’s innovation journey. EverWatch CEO Dr. John Hillen served as the master of ceremonies.

Originally scheduled as an in-person event, the Chief Officer Awards pivoted into a virtual live-streamed program to accommodate the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations about in-person events. Over 500 people watched the awards.

To kick off the event, singer/songwriter Shane Gamble performed “God Bless the USA”:

WashingtonExec would like to thank again all the nominees and the event sponsor Amentum.
