Technology integrator Science Applications International Corp. has announced key leadership changes within the Defense Systems Group.
Josh Jackson will lead the Navy and Marine Corps Information Warfare Operation as its new senior vice president and operations manager, while Gabe Camarillo will lead the company’s Naval Sea and Air Systems Operations as senior vice president and operations manager.
Both will report directly to Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager of the Defense Systems Group.
Camarillo joined SAIC in 2017 and most recently served as vice president of strategy for the Defense Systems Group. Prior to joining SAIC, he served over seven years in leadership roles in national security in the Defense Department, most recently as the assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force, manpower and reserve affairs.
“Gabe has been a valuable asset to our team for the past three years,” Scanlon said. “He has assisted in designing and implementing the company’s strategic direction as it relates to our Department of Defense business, and I am confident in Gabe’s ability to carry on Rick’s great work and build upon his success to take the NAVSEA/NAVAIR operation to greater heights.”
Jackson joined SAIC in 2002 and has led programs, divisions and organizations in support of defense and national security customers, prior to leading the Solutions and Technology Group. He was responsible for leading strategy and market growth, developing solutions that capitalize on the company’s capabilities in cloud and infrastructure; software; cyber; analytics; engineering, integration and logistics; and training and mission solutions.
“Josh has played a critical role in maturing our operating model and leading our Solutions and Technology Group,” Scanlon said. “He has been an exceptional leader and partner, and I am thrilled to welcome him to the Defense Solutions Group as he transitions into the next chapter of his tenure with SAIC.”
