MAXIMUS Federal has brought on two new executives to support the company’s pursuits in the federal contracting market: Andrew Sommers has joined as vice president of public health services and Todd Morris comes on board as vice president of sales.
Sommers joins to support the company’s efforts to assist government with expanding the public health infrastructure across the country. This includes work with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as state work supporting increased testing and contact tracing.
He served previously at HHS as a senior policy adviser in the Office of Health Policy, Assistant Secretary for Planning and Education. In this role, he managed a portfolio covering epidemiologic investigations into infectious diseases such as hepatitis, Zika and Ebola.
Morris will support MAXIMUS Federal’s pursuits at the Department of Homeland Security. He is a career government contractor, with over 30-years’ experience delivering IT and professional services to the national security community with a focus on the federal government.
Morris served most recently as managing director for national security at Attain, where he built a national security practice and was responsible for supporting elements of the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and state, as well as the intelligence community.
Additionally, Morris is a 2018 Pinnacle Awards finalist and a 2018 Top 10 Execs To Watch in National Security for the National Capital Region.
