Longtime GovCon executive and former Alion Science and Technology Chief Operating Officer Sid Fuchs has been elected to Geocent LLC‘s board of directors.
Fuchs has more than 30 years’ experience transforming engineering and technology organizations and is known as a thought leader, business executive, published author and an authority on national security.
He served as president, CEO and director of MacAulay-Brown, Inc., before Alion Science and Technology acquired it in August 2018 and named Fuchs as COO until his departure in September 2019.
At MacB, Fuchs transformed the company from a predominately U.S. Air Force SETA contractor to a high-end engineering, product and solutions company.
Prior to MacB, Fuchs was president and CEO of OAO Technology Solutions (acquired in 2010), CEO and a director of ATS Corp. (acquired in 2012) and president and CEO of TASC, a Northrop Grumman subsidiary. He’s also a former CIA officer and a graduate of the CIA Special Operations and Training School and the CIA Intelligence Analysis School.
Now, he sits on the board of directors for NT Concepts and Buchanan & Edwards, Inc., on the board of advisers for INADEV and is a board member at the Louisiana State University Foundation National Board.
Fuchs said he is honored to join Geocent’s board and looks forward to working alongside his fellow board members and company leadership to help guide the company’s important work.
“I am excited to be a part of a company that has such a tremendous opportunity to empower people with the solutions and tools they need to succeed,” he added.
Geocent CEO Bobby Savoie said the company is thrilled to have him.
“He brings decades of leadership in key areas, such as strategy implementation, corporate transformation, and advising senior executives that are vital to our future operations and strategy,” Savoie said. “Sid’s counsel and expertise will bring energy to our Board and strengthen Geocent’s commitment to operational excellence and enhancing mission-critical solutions to serve our employees and customers better.”
