Solutions engineering company Brillient Corp. has announced a number of key organizational changes, including naming RJ Kolton as chief growth officer.

As CGO, Kolton will oversee planning and implementation of the corporate growth strategy. He will direct all aspects of the business development lifecycle, as well as new product and service development and merger and acquisition activities.

“The timing couldn’t be better for RJ joining this Brillient team,” said Paul Strasser, who has been named the new CEO of Brillient Corp. “His strong executive leadership and award-winning business development skills are a perfect fit for fulfilling our vision and taking advantage of robust market opportunities.”

Kolton brings to Brillient 22 years’ experience as a senior business development and operational executive supporting defense, federal and intelligence community customers. He previously served as senior vice president of business development for Synectics for Management Decisions, Inc; as president and principal for Kolt Business Solutions LLC; as SVP of BD for Data Systems Analysts, Inc; and as SVP of strategy and corporate development for Ideal Innovations Inc.

Kolton is a retired Army lieutenant colonel who served in command and staff positions in the White House, U.S. Central Command, Department of the Army and the 82d Airborne and 3d Infantry Divisions, among many other roles.

Additionally, Kolton is a 2018 WashingtonExec Pinnacle Award Business Development Executive of the Year.
