The deadline to submit nominations for the Chief Officer Awards is March 27, and we want your help to find the government chief information officers spearheading IT initiatives and contributions that drive positive change in federal agencies.
The first annual Chief Officer Awards will recognize the most impactful and innovative executives in government and industry sitting in the C-suite. The awards aim to fill a gap in the market of showcasing the technologists, security experts and business leaders making waves in government contracting from both sides of the sector.
The awards will culminate in a May 20 ceremony and luncheon at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner, where the winners will be recognized.
For the CIO in government award, nominations may come from peers, employees, supervisors and fellow government or industry leaders. This category focuses on government officials tasked with establishing an agencywide secure IT enterprise architecture built for interoperability, information sharing and emerging technologies.
Nominees range from long-term govies to recent and strategic hires. Achievements between 2019 and 2020 will be considered.
An executive and/or agency can submit nominations for more than one category, and self-nominations are accepted. Nominations should be no more than 500 words and include how the CIO solved a challenge(s) for the end customer. The submission deadline is March 27.
