Siemens USA Chair and CEO Barbara Humpton has joined the board of directors of Triumph Group as an independent director.

Humpton came to Siemens in 2011 and held roles of increasing responsibility in the Siemens Government Technologies business. In April 2018, she was named SGT president and CEO.

Prior to Siemens, Humpton was a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she was responsible for program performance and new business development for technology consulting with the department of Justice and Homeland Security.

Humpton earlier roles include vice president at Lockheed Martin Corp. where she was responsible for biometrics programs, border and transportation security and critical infrastructure protection.

“We are pleased to welcome Barbara as a new independent director to the Triumph Group Board,” said Daniel J. Crowley, Triumph president and CEO. “This is an exciting time for Triumph as we complete our restructuring and accelerate our operational and financial recovery on our path to improved shareholder value.”

In 2016, Humpton landed on WashingtonExec’s inaugural Top 30 Execs to Watch list. Two years later, she again made the list.
