Betty Thompson joined Booz Allen Hamilton in 2008, bringing more than 20 years of experience directing human capital strategy and human resource functions for large corporations. Her highlights in the last year include advising Booz Allen’s CEO and board of directors on the organization’s long-term vision and growth strategy and driving company culture and people strategy for its 26,000-plus consultants and technologists worldwide.
Well ahead of her time, Thompson conceived Booz Allen’s Women’s Agenda, which aims to ensure all women and all diverse populations at the company have a chance to move to the next level and to be successful in their efforts. She was instrumental in efforts leading to women comprising more than half of Booz Allen’s leadership team and one-third of its board of directors — the latter setting Booz Allen apart from many other public companies, according to Thompson.
