LMI is among 17 prime contractors who will support models and demonstration programs developed by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation under a recent award.

The Research, Measurement, Assessment, Design and Analysis 2, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle is for multiple awards with a 5-year length and ceiling value of $5 billion.

CMMI is designed to reduce program expenditures through innovative payment and service delivery models aimed at enhancing health care quality. LMI’s work will support patient-centered practices for Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program and uninsured beneficiaries.

“LMI has a history of success in implementing CMMI models and evaluating ACA payment reform that improve care, lower costs, and better align payment systems to drive value-based care,” said Pat Tamburrino Jr., vice president of LMI’s health and civilian markets. “We look forward to continuing our support to CMS as it innovates to improve the quality of health care for U.S. citizens.”

Through RMADA 2, LMI has the opportunity to bid on task orders in several areas. Those include model design, implementation, evaluation, and operations; conducting program, data, and environmental analyses; assisting with application development and review; monitoring model site implementations; designing and conducting surveys; reporting and summarizing analyses; and reporting annual and final program findings.

“We are eager to continue building upon our nearly 25 years of domain experience at CMS, and RMADA 2 presents a tremendous opportunity for LMI,” said Whitney Owen, director of LMI’s HHS market. “This important vehicle strengthens our ability to support the CMS mission to improve patient outcomes.”
