Former DMI Federal president and U.S. Army veteran John Epperly has been named president of IT Concepts, Inc. to oversee strategy, service delivery operations and business development companywide.

Epperly has more than 25 years of business executive leadership experience in federal and commercial markets in management consulting, telecommunications, IT services, aviation, manufacturing and cybersecurity. He has held executive positions at Coalfire, Booz Allen Hamilton, Elbit Systems of America and Verizon Business.

Before joining industry, Maj. Gen. Epperly, a West Point graduate, commanded troops in the Army for nearly 30 years, including one of the Army’s 18 Infantry Divisions of nine brigades and 18,000 soldiers.

Epperly is also a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and is currently commanding general of the 29th Infantry Division in the Virginia Army National Guard.

In his new role, Epperly will report to IT Concepts CEO Pinakin Patel.

“IT Concepts has experienced some phenomenal growth over the last decade,” Epperly said. “I’m looking forward to continuing the progression the company has made in delivering innovative IT solutions in both the Federal and commercial arenas”

And according to Patel, IT Concepts is thrilled to have Epperly join at a time when the company is embracing the next chapter of its progression.

“John has a rich operational background as a business executive and as a Major General in the Virginia Army National Guard,” Patel said. “The addition of John to our leadership team is further evidence of ITC’s commitment to delivering effective, cutting-edge technology solutions to better achieve the mission goals of our clients.”
