Donna Morea, chair of the board of directors for Science Applications International Corp. has joined the board of Amida Technology Solutions, Inc.

Morea also serves as chair of the Risk Committee at SunTrust and on other private corporate and not-for-profit boards. She has more than 30 years of experience in the software, IT services and private equity communities.

“Donna is a nationally recognized leader in the IT industry, and I’m thrilled and honored to have her on Amida’s board,” said Amida co-founder and CEO Peter Levin. “Her guidance and perspective will play an invaluable role in helping Amida meet our ambitious growth goals.”

In December 2011, Morea retired from American Management Systems and CGI Group, which acquired AMS in 2004. As president of CGI Technologies and Solutions, she led IT and business process services efforts in the U.S., Europe and Asia, where she worked with some of the largest and most complex government, health care and financial services organizations in the world.

“Amida’s leadership played a key role in the creation and deployment of Blue Button as well as the cornerstone components of the VA and DoD health IT modernization initiatives that we are building on today,” Morea said. “They have a sterling client list and excellent references. I’m delighted to become a part of such a forward-thinking company.”

Last year, Morea was inducted into WashingtonExec’s Pinnacle Awards Hall of Fame.
