LexisNexis Special Services has named former Office of Personnel Management official James Onusko as director of federal strategy.
Onusko, who served as OPM’s facilities, security and emergency management acting director, joins in a move that aims to expand LNSS’ presence in personnel security, insider threat and continuous evaluation.
Onusko will draw from his 15 years of experience in the federal civil service to focus on national security capabilities and programs for government agencies.
Onusko’s prior roles include serving as director of personnel security and identity management at the Department of Veterans Affairs and as director of the Office of Personnel Security and Suitability at the State Department. Prior to State, Onusko served for 26 years in the U.S. Air Force.
“With a wealth of experience in security, law enforcement, insider threat and the protection of national security, Jim is uniquely qualified to provide the tailored data solutions required by government agencies,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO, Government, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and LexisNexis Special Services Inc’. “His contributions helped transform the security clearance program into a system that employs technological solutions achieving greater overall efficiency.”
