Leidos Inc. has been awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for the Transformational Reliable Acoustic Path System on behalf of the Maritime Surveillance Systems Program Office, Navy Program Executive Office Submarines.
The contract is worth an estimated $72,817,062 for the Reston, Virginia-based company, according to a June 21 release from the Defense Department.
The TRAPS capability complements fixed surveillance systems and surveillance toward array sensor systems, while also provides flexible and responsive wide area surveillance for theater anti-submarine warfare, according to the release.
This contract has a three-year ordering period up to the contract award amount and funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Additionally, work will be performed in Long Beach, Miss. with an estimated completion date of June 2022.
The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity. The sole-source contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), but only one responsible source (Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 6.302-1).
