The Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Regulatory Affairs received a FedHealthIT Innovation Award for a public data dashboard created in partnership with Salient CRGT.
A panel of government and industry leaders judged applicants from across the industry and awarded FDA ORA for its work on the FDA Data Dashboard. The dashboard provides public FDA information in a format designed to be more user-friendly, resulting in more transparency and accountability. Awardees were selected based on their innovative emerging technology solutions and ability to deliver results.
“It’s a great honor to have a part in helping FDA ORA meet their mission objectives and achieve this FedHealthIT award,” said Hang Bui, program manager for the FDA Dashboards & Analytics contract. “I look forward to collaborating with them in equally rewarding future efforts.”
FDA Data Dashboard came about after a decision in September 2016 to update the existing interface, formerly GovDashboard, which was launched in 2013. The new solution uses Qlik Sense BI to graphically display publicly available FDA data.
Print and digital magazine FedHealthIT hosted the annual FedHealthIT Innovation Awards on June 11.
