Meetings, events and hospitality technology provider Cvent plans to hire nearly 1,000 employees this year to support a growing customer base and drive innovation.

The Tysons Corner-based company said it added 1,000 net new employees and over 5,000 new customers to its global customer base last year. Cvent has over 600 positions currently open at its 20 office locations worldwide.

“As we celebrate our 20th year in business, we continue to grow at an incredible rate,” said Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent. “Our unique entrepreneurial culture, global presence, and dedication to our customers has allowed us to hire and retain top talent around the world, and we cannot wait to welcome a new generation of Cventers to our team.”

The company recently won 19 Stevie Awards for sales and customer service, marketing and human resources and has been named one of the Top Workplaces by The Washington Post six years in a row. It has also been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by the Washington Business Journal seven times.
