HighPoint Global has appointed Andrea Garvey, who served as the first data governance officer for the State of Maryland Department of Human Resources, as senior director of health and human services.
Garvey will oversee growing the company’s support and driving business development and solutions for health and human service organizations, and developing client-focused strategies for new and existing customers.
She brings years of experience in executive roles with contractors and in state and local government to HighPoint. During her time as data governance officer, Garvey created the legal compliance, data governance and data risk management framework for the country’s first cloud-based health and human services platform called MD THINK.
“Andrea is great addition to our team,” said HighPoint Chief Operating Officer Scott Willis. “We’re thrilled to utilize her government experience and passion for improving healthcare services to grow our business and help our clients design solutions to meet mission and customer needs.”
Garvey also designed and implemented Maryland’s first Opioid Operational Command Center as policy adviser to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s chief of staff and helped create the state’s economic development strategy. In industry, she served as chief operating officer and director of corporate relations for government contractors.
Now, Garvey is excited to join HighPoint’s team of bringing contact center processes and digital solutions to customers.
“HighPoint brings tremendous experience in transforming how agencies like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services interacts with citizens through their contact centers and I am looking forward to helping them apply that experience to other agencies,” she said.
