Akima has achieved a pair of certifications for aviation, space and defense. The AS9100 and AS9110 certifications represent the global standard for manufacturing and service provisioning as well as quality management systems.

“Achieving the AS9100 and AS9110 certifications is just one example of our relentless focus on providing excellence to our customers,” said Chief Administrative Officer Chris Jenkins. “Akima’s commitment to maintaining high standards drives greater efficiency, safety, security, and quality for the services and products we provide to government departments and agencies.”

The AS9100 and AS9110 standards build on the ISO 9001:2015 quality management requirements that satisfy the more challenging regulatory and safety aspects of aviation, space and defense services and products.

The AS9100 certification is the international standard for manufacturing and service provisioning within the aviation, space and defense industry, while AS9110 applies to quality management of aviation maintenance.
