Akima’s Tech for Govies Day titled “Today’s Government IT: Changing the Art of the Possible” on April 23 will gather industry partners and government technology leaders to discuss how next-generation IT can — and is — leading agency missions.

The event kicks off 7:30 a.m. at Convene in Arlington, Virginia, with welcome remarks from Juvy McCarthy, group president at Akima, and a keynote session from Sanjay Gupta, the chief technology officer at the Small Business Administration.

Tech for Govies Day will also feature two panels. The first is a cloud-smart discussion with IT program directors from Akima and Coby Loessberg, the program lead for federal business development at Oracle. The second panel is a cyber talk focusing on “securing the edge” with an Akima cyber analyst and cybersecurity project manager.

After a morning of discussions, the event will close with hands-on industry demonstrations until noon. Guests can expect to see event sponsors Oracle, Riverbed, Pivot 3 and Carahsoft/Dell EMC.

You can find more information, a full list of speakers and registration on the event website.
